REGULATIONS
1. JURISDICTION The event will be held under the general Competition Rules
and Standing Regulations of the MCUI and the Motor Cycle Union of Ireland
Southern Centre Ltd, and any further supplementary regulations that may be
issued.
2. ELIGIBILITY: The event is open to Race licence holders, Full Current
Motorcycle licence holders and Holders of an MCUI One day Competition
licence. One Day licences can be obtained on the day for a small fee. You
must pre-order the one day licence. Please tick the box on the entry form if
you need to order one.

5. CLASSES: Honda cub/club 50/70/90 & Yamaha T80 only.
6. TRANSPONDERS You must provide a transponder number on your entry. If
you plan on renting a transponder write this clearly on the form. Under no
circumstances will machines be allowed to compete without a transponder. It
is your responsibility to ensure that the transponder number entered on the
form is correct. In the event that during racing a machine is not detected by
the timing system (for whatever reason) the inclusion of the rider in the
results of the event is at the discretion of the timekeeper.7.
ENTRIES: Entries must be made on the official entry form, completed in every
detail and accompanied by the full entry fee. Unpaid entries will be returned
to sender. The club reserves the right to refuse an entry without assigning a
reason. Entry Fee is FREE ….although each competitor must collect a minimum
of €100 on their Sponsorship Card which will be forwarded to them after Entry
Form is received. A €200 Refundable Deposit must be submitted by each Team

8. AWARDS: Awards will be awarded to the winners in each class
9. SCRUTINEERING OF MACHINES AND SIGNING ON OF COMPETITORS. Before
commencing practice, Riders must present their machine(s) and equipment
to the Scrutineers for inspection. Scrutineering will take place in the
paddock from 7.30a.m. Crash helmets must be less then than five years old,
fit the rider correctly and be in excellent overall condition. Each rider
must have an approved licence available for inspection when signing on. A
competitor must not practice or take part in the event on any machine that
has not been fully scrutineered. It is the responsibility of the competitor
to present for scrutineering, machines and protective clothing which are safe
in all aspects and comply with the general competition rules of the
Event.
10. COURSE. The event will be held over the WHITERIVER KARTING
CIRCUIT Touring on the circuit during practice or racing is not permitted.
Drivers must not either drive or push their machines in the reverse direction
of the course, unless under the instruction of an official.
11. PITS: The Pit area will be clearly marked and will be situated close
to the start. Signalling to a rider from a position other than the pits is
forbidden and failure to comply with this requirement may result in the
exclusion of the Driver the pit attendant represents
12. PRACTICE: Practice will commence at 10am. The order and composition of
practice will be as per instruction of the Clerk of the Course and will be
displayed in the paddock.13. GRID
POSITIONS: A “Le-Mans” style start will be used.
14. PROHIBITION OF WHEELING: The deliberate lifting of the front wheel for
the purpose of showmanship is strictly forbidden and may result in the
exclusion of the offender form the event. Any other action that could
reasonably be interpreted as showmanship or unsafe behaviour shall carry the
same penalty.
15. PROTESTS: Protests must be made in writing to the Clerk of the Course,
be in accordance with the General Competition Rules of the Motor Cycle Union
of Ireland and accompanied by the prescribed fee of €75 (£50).
16. IDENTITY DISCS: An identification Disc/SOS card must be worn during
practice and racing.
17. DOGS: Dogs within the immediate vicinity of the course must be kept on
a leash. It is preferable that dogs are NOT brought to the circuit
18. OFFICIAL INSTRUCTIONS: A fine may be imposed by the Stewards, or the
MCUI Centre or the Club, on an entrant, driver assistant, mechanic or
passenger who does not comply with the requirements, of the supplementary
regulations, or the official instructions. A fine imposed by the Stewards of
the meeting shall be limited to €130.
19. FUEL: All fuels must be stored in metal containers and comply with
M.C.U.I Rules. Fuel containers must be kept in the designated fuel dump that
will be provided on the day.
20. PUSH STARTS: Anyone wishing to push start a machine for any reason in
the paddock area, must only do so in the area designated.
21. FIRE EXTINGUISHERS: All competitors’ must have one fire extinguisher
per team.
22. PADDOCK TRANSPORT: In the interests of safety in all areas of the
circuit, the use of motorised mini-bikes or other paddock motorcycles used
for transport are not permitted. This also applies to children using such
machines. Riders are reminded that they are responsible for the actions of
their team and family in this regard and may face sanction as a direct result
of their actions.
23. ALCOHOL: Random breath Tests will take place. The permitted level of
Alcohol is ZEROMACHINE &
RACE CLOTHING REGULATIONS Riders Gear: Without exception all riders must
have: One or two piece leathers. If two piece they must have a sturdy zip
to connect top and bottom. They must be in excellent condition. No
textiles. Helmets must be less then five years old (must have date tag
inside to prove this) they must have no damage and be full face only. NO
EXCEPTIONS. Boots must be motorcycle boots. No steel toe work boots,
runners, shoes etc. Motorcycle gloves must be worn on track.
Machine Preparation Rules and Guidelines: 1. The bike your team is
entering must remain standard (as it would have left the factory) in
appearance. One machine per team. You may bring spare engines etc, but only
one machine. Correct Frame and Forks for that model of machine
Standard wheels and brakes. Std size petrol tank for that model of
machine Correct engine for that model of machine. Must have all
fairings, panels & Mudguards on. 2. Modifications that will need to be
implemented to each machine. Indicators to be removed. Lights taped
over Passenger pegs removed. Number plate and Bracket to be
removed Side stand and main stand to be removed Sump nut to be drilled
and lock wired shut 3 race plates attached. One to front of machine, two
each side 3. Insure that your machine has good tyres, cables, brakes.
Remember, it will have to pass Scrutineering. Unsafe, modified or ill
prepared machines will NOT be allowed to take part. 4. Remember to take
Petrol and oil with you to the event. Petrol must be stored in steel Gerry
cans and must be stored in the fuel dump area provided on
the day.Rules: 1. Honda cub/club 50's entered must have a genuine Honda 50
cub/club engine not exceeding 50cc in the frame. 2. Honda cub/club 70's
entered must have a genuine Honda 70 cub/club engine not exceeding 70cc in
the frame. 3. Honda cub/club 90's entered must have a genuine Honda 90
cub/club engine not exceeding 90cc in the frame. 4. Yamaha T80's entered
must have a genuine Yamaha T80 townmate engine not exceeding 80cc in the
frame. Helmets: Helmets must be full face Helmets must be less than
5 years old. Helmets must have the manufacturer's stamp showing their age
on the inside. Helmets must not have any large chips or scuffs on
them. Helmets must be in good working condition. Engines: The engines
and exhausts may be tuned, but the following modifications are
not allowed. 1: ANY SORT OF BIG BORE KIT 2: Non - standard
carburettor's 3: Engines not standard to the machine. 4. No Turbos *(
the winning machines engines in each class will be stripped) Cycle
parts: The frames are to remain standard to that model of machine. The
forks are to remain standard to that model of machine. The wheels are to
remain standard to that model of machine. The brakes must be standard Honda
cub/club 50/70/90 or Yamaha T80 drum brakes. No disk brakes
allowed. No modifying of frames or forks to take larger
tyres/wheels. Every machine will be carefully checked before the race by a
team of scrutineers from the MCUI. Don't take the chance. YOU WILL NOT
BE ALLOWED TO RACE IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THE RULES. AND YOU WON’T GET YOUR
